The BRF-125 plate-and-frame fin heat exchanger is suitable for heat exchange in HVAC water systems, process cooling water, low-pressure steam, and other working conditions. The equipment consists of a plate pack, fins, sealing gaskets, and a clamping frame. Narrow flow channels are formed between the plates, and the fins enhance heat transfer. The structure is compact and easy to disassemble and clean.
For non-corrosive media such as hydraulic oil and clean water, carbon steel fins can be selected. If the medium is somewhat corrosive, stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant alloy fins can be selected according to the specific composition. The fin material must match the plate material and medium characteristics to avoid galvanic corrosion.
Gasket materials can be nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, or fluororubber, with corresponding temperature resistance ranges of -20 to 110°C, -40 to 150°C, and -20 to 200°C, respectively. Medium compatibility must also be considered during selection. For example, EPDM rubber has good adaptability to hot water and steam, while fluororubber is suitable for high-temperature or oil-containing media.
During selection, technical engineers should provide the medium name, inlet and outlet temperatures, flow rate, and allowable pressure drop. The BRF-125 has a single-plate heat transfer area of 0.125 m² and a design pressure of 1.6 MPa. The design temperature is determined by the gasket material. The connection diameter, number of plates, and pass arrangement can be adjusted according to working conditions.
Sufficient space should be reserved for equipment disassembly and assembly, and the clamping dimension should be controlled according to the factory markings. Before operation, check the gasket positions to avoid leakage caused by misalignment. Regularly inspect gasket aging and schedule cleaning cycles according to water quality conditions.
