In flue gas waste heat recovery or hot air circulation systems, the selection of tubular fin heat exchangers often requires checking the match between the actual flue gas temperature and the nameplate margin. The KFS-830 tubular fin heat exchanger is designed for such working conditions. The following lists key points from a technical comparison perspective.
The base tube can be made of heat-resistant alloy steel, with a design task temperature of up to 850°C, suitable for the hot air circulation requirements of heater applications. Compared with conventional carbon steel base tubes, the alloy steel option can maintain structural stability in the high-temperature section, but it should be noted that if the actual flue gas temperature is slightly higher than the nameplate margin, local overheating may still occur in the finned tube bundle. A reasonable margin should be reserved during selection.
The design temperature range is -20~450°C, and the design pressure is 1.6 MPa. The interface flange standard can be matched to the user's existing piping, reducing on-site modification work. Compared with fixed flange configurations, matching to existing piping can reduce the risk of installation deviation, but accurate pipe specifications must be provided before ordering.
When the actual flue gas temperature is slightly higher than the nameplate margin, local overheating of the finned tube bundle is a common problem. High-temperature areas can be identified by adjusting the tube bundle arrangement or adding temperature monitoring points, and the base tube material can be upgraded if necessary. This measure focuses on preventive design rather than after-the-fact remediation.
Suitable for industrial flue gas waste heat recovery, hot air circulation heating, and similar applications. When selecting, technical engineers are advised to first confirm the flue gas temperature fluctuation range and base tube material grade, then check the interface flange standard, and finally evaluate the local heat load distribution of the finned tube bundle.
