Does a low temperature at the edge of the furnace door seal indicate seal failure? This is a common question in on-site operation and maintenance. The following points can serve as a reference for daily inspections.
Record the deviation between the temperature controller display value and the set value every shift. When the deviation continues to increase, check the temperature sensor wiring and PID parameters to avoid furnace temperature fluctuations caused by sensor drift.
Check the seal for damage, hardening, or detachment. After closing the furnace door, compare the temperature around the door gap by hand feel or with a temperature measuring instrument. If heat leakage is found, replace the sealing element promptly to reduce the phenomenon of low edge temperature.
Observe whether the electrical wiring terminals are loose or discolored from heat, focusing on the output end of the solid-state relay and the connections of the high-current circuit. Retighten them periodically after power-off.
Listen to whether the fan and contactor operate with normal sound. If abnormal noise or delayed pull-in occurs, arrange maintenance to avoid affecting the temperature uniformity inside the furnace.
If the temperature range is selected too wide, the equipment volume and investment increase; if selected too narrow, it is difficult to cover the process margin. Operation and maintenance personnel should verify the equipment capability against the upper process temperature limit and the commonly used range.
The furnace uses a temperature control loop composed of a temperature sensor, a PID regulator, and a solid-state relay. The RXG-50-10 has a rated temperature of 1000°C and a rated power of 50 kW, suitable for scenarios such as heat treatment of metal parts and workpiece preheating.
