In flue gas waste heat recovery systems in metallurgy, building materials, and other industries, ash accumulation between heat exchanger fins and mismatch between interface dimensions and piping are two common on-site problems. The former affects heat exchange efficiency, while the latter increases modification costs. The HXL-720 finned tube heat exchanger is designed for such operating conditions. The following outlines selection and usage points from the perspective of application scenarios.

1. Dust-laden flue gas waste heat recovery scenario: This type of heat exchanger is suitable for high-temperature flue gas waste heat recovery in metallurgy, building materials, chemical, and other industries. When dust-laden flue gas passes through the finned tube bundle, dust tends to deposit on the fin surfaces. During selection, the fin spacing should be reasonably set based on dust concentration and particle size distribution, and soot blowing or water washing interfaces should be reserved. During operation, it is recommended to regularly monitor the flue gas side pressure difference and arrange ash cleaning when the pressure difference continues to rise.

2. Hot air circulation and drying system: In hot air circulation heating and drying systems, the heat exchanger performs heat transfer between air and the heat medium. During selection, the circulating air volume, inlet temperature, and target outlet temperature must be specified to calculate the heat exchange area accordingly. The finned tube arrangement and number of tube passes should be determined based on the allowable pressure drop to avoid excessive fan energy consumption.

3. Interface customization and system matching: The interface specifications of this heat exchanger can be customized according to pipeline system requirements. Design and selection personnel should provide on-site pipe diameter, connection method, and installation space dimensions so that interface matching can be completed during manufacturing, reducing on-site modification work.

4. Maintenance points: During shutdown inspection, check fin deformation and tube bundle corrosion; for dust-laden conditions, focus on cleaning ash accumulated at the fin roots; during long-term shutdown, drain the medium inside the tubes to prevent freezing cracking or corrosion.
