Application of Electric Heaters in Solid Caustic Soda Production

The main method for producing flake caustic soda in solid caustic soda plants is the molten salt method for concentration and flaking, and heating the molten salt is achieved using a molten salt furnace.

In the application in solid caustic soda production, the electric heater used is a molten salt electric heater, which adopts a bundled immersion type electric heater based on process parameters. The bundled immersion type electric heater inputs the heating medium into the heating chamber (inside the container). When passing through the heater, it uses fluid thermodynamics principles to uniformly carry away the large amount of heat generated by the heating elements, so that the outlet medium temperature reaches the required process requirements. When the medium temperature reaches the set value, the control system automatically adjusts the output power of the electric heater based on the temperature sensor signal at the outlet, through PID calculation. The electric heater control system effectively adjusts the output voltage to achieve temperature control for the resistive load of the heating elements, ensuring uniform outlet medium temperature and meeting the required specifications.

The molten salt electric heater has advantages such as low investment, high efficiency, high thermal efficiency, simple operation, and high safety. At the same time, during unit start-up, shutdown, and half-load operation, operators can accurately adjust the set values and load based on the temperature variation patterns of the electric heater, keeping operating data within specified ranges, and product quality fully meets first-grade standards.
