Meltblown fabric heater advantages

The meltblown process requires a large amount of hot air. The compressed air output from the air compressor is dehumidified and filtered, then transported to the air heater for heating, and then sent to the meltblown die assembly. The air heater is a pressure vessel and must also resist the oxidation of high-temperature air, so the material must be stainless steel.

The heating element of the air heater is a stainless steel electric heating tube. Multiple baffles are set inside the heater cavity to extend the residence time of air in the heater cavity, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency. Appropriately increasing the number of heating tubes and increasing the installed power of the air heater can shorten the heating-up time of the production line. The meltblown process requires high temperature control accuracy for the drafting air heater, and the drafting air temperature is required to be stable within the range of ±1°C.

Application fields of heaters: Air heaters are a widely used type of heater. We commonly call them air heaters, but in fact, according to the different gases being heated, they can be subdivided into many types, such as air heaters and hydrogen heaters. These can also be called pipeline gas heaters. *Especially due to the current epidemic prevention and control needs, the demand for and other medical protective supplies has surged, and pipeline air heaters are widely used by meltblown nonwoven fabric manufacturers for meltblown fabric heating*. Pipeline heaters have been widely used in aerospace, ordnance industry, chemical industry, and many scientific research and production laboratories in universities. They are particularly suitable for automatic temperature control and high-flow high-temperature combined systems and accessory tests. Air electric heaters have a wide range of applications: they can heat any gas, and the produced hot air is dry and moisture-free, non-conductive, non-combustible, non-explosive, non-corrosive, non-polluting, safe and reliable, and the heated space heats up quickly (controllable).

    1. Operating principle of meltblown fabric air heater

In the meltblown system, most use air heaters heated by electricity. Inside the heater shell made of stainless steel, a large number of electric heating tubes made of stainless steel are installed. When the heating tubes are energized, the tubes heat up and exchange heat with the airflow sent by the fan, transferring heat to the airflow, thus becoming the high-temperature drafting airflow required by the process.

    2. Energy-saving principle of meltblown fabric air heater

    (1) Reasonably design the air volume and temperature rise. The power of the meltblown fabric air heater is determined based on the calculation of air volume and temperature rise. Under the premise that the air volume and temperature rise meet the requirements, it is not advisable to use excessive air volume and excessive temperature rise, because excessive air volume and temperature rise directly lead to excessive power of the meltblown fabric air heater, increasing energy consumption.

    (2) The outer surface of the meltblown fabric air heater should be insulated. Most users only insulate the pipeline at the outlet of the electric heater when using an air electric heater, but do not perform any insulation treatment on the surface of the electric heater itself. Comparative data shows that adding an insulation layer on the surface of the electric heater can reduce energy consumption by 5% to 10%. Over long-term operation, the energy savings are very considerable. Users should add insulation to the pipeline and also add insulation to the air electric heater.
