The heating tube uses stainless steel metal as the outer shell, with spiral electric heating alloy wire (nickel-chromium 8020) uniformly distributed along the central axis inside the tube. The gaps are filled and compacted with magnesium oxide sand that has good insulation and thermal conductivity. The tube openings are sealed with liquid glue, silicone, or ceramic glue (moisture-proof design can be provided for humid environments). The connecting wires are made of pure nickel (copper) and high-temperature wear-resistant wire materials. This metal electric heating element can heat air, metal molds, and various liquids.

 


2. Special Design of Heating Tubes:


Depending on the different usage conditions, safety, and installation requirements of heating tubes, they may also include sealing structures, 90-degree elbow lead-out, attached flange fixing, crimped corrugated tubes, crimped stainless steel mesh, threaded tube openings, built-in thermocouples, fuses, and other structures.

 


3. Performance, Application, and Lifespan of Heating Tubes:


The heating tube is made by placing electric heating elements inside a metal tube and tightly filling the gaps with crystalline magnesium oxide powder that has good heat resistance, thermal conductivity, and insulation, followed by other processing steps. The heating tube is a heating element specifically designed to convert electrical energy into thermal energy. It features a simple structure, high mechanical strength, high thermal efficiency, safety, reliability, and easy installation. It is widely used in plastic molds, packaging machinery, extruders, automation equipment, medical machinery, hot press molds, etc.
Under normal usage conditions, the service life is over 10,000 hours.



4. Resistance Calculation for Heating Tubes:


Example: 220V 1500W electric heating tube
P=1500 watts (power) U=220 volts (voltage) Find I (current)
I=P/U=1500/220≈6.82 amps
Ohm's law to find: R (resistance)
R=U/I=220/6.82≈32.27 ohms
