In thermal oil furnaces, asphalt tanks, or open oil baths, the JRH-380 tubular electric heater operates immersed in the medium for extended periods. Design and selection personnel need to pay attention to installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure heating efficiency and extend component life.
This model is suitable for thermal oil or oils and media with good heating performance. During design, the contact area between the sheath and the heated oil should be calculated to prevent the oil from carbonizing due to localized overheating. If the medium has high viscosity and poor flowability, it should be evaluated whether circulating agitation is required.
For ordinary environments, a protection rating of no less than IP54 is recommended; for outdoor or humid locations, IP65 or above should be selected. In flammable and explosive environments, explosion-proof types must be used, with an explosion-proof rating of no less than ExdⅡCT4, and the explosion-proof certificate should be verified. Terminal connections should be kept clean and tight.
During operation, regularly check whether the current is balanced and whether there is coking or carbon buildup on the sheath surface. After shutdown, wait for the component to cool before cutting off power for cleaning to avoid mechanical damage. If a decrease in insulation resistance is found, it should be investigated and replaced promptly.
