BDR-ExD explosion-proof electric heater is an industrial heating equipment designed with a flameproof structure, suitable for hazardous locations with flammable and explosive gases. The product can heat media such as thermal oil, water, and air, and is commonly used in process flows in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and other industries.
The explosion-proof marking of this product is Ex d ⅡB T4 Gb or Ex d ⅡC T6 Gb. The core of explosion protection lies in the flameproof enclosure. The enclosure is made of cast aluminum alloy (such as ZL102) or stainless steel, capable of withstanding internal explosions without damage and preventing flame propagation outward. A flameproof joint is provided between the terminal cavity and the heating cavity to ensure isolation of electrical parts from the hazardous environment.
The heater uses metal tubular electric heating elements, and stainless steel, carbon steel, or titanium tubes can be selected according to the medium. PTC explosion-proof heaters use PTC ceramic heating elements with self-limiting temperature characteristics. The 100mm range of the heating tube near the flange surface is not provided with a heating zone to avoid aging of seals due to high temperature. The equipment can be equipped with temperature sensors and overheating protection devices to achieve automatic temperature control.
Rated voltage: 220V/380V/660V
Rated power: 1kW~500kW (customizable)
Explosion-proof grade: Ex d ⅡB T4 Gb / Ex d ⅡC T6 Gb
Protection grade: IP54/IP65
Working temperature: ≤300℃ (depending on medium and explosion-proof grade)
Material: cast aluminum alloy, stainless steel, carbon steel
Suitable for explosive gas environments (Zone 1, Zone 2) in petroleum, chemical, natural gas, pharmaceutical, food, and other industries. It can heat media such as thermal oil, water, air, and nitrogen. Typical applications include reactor heating, pipeline tracing, storage tank insulation, gas heating, etc.
Before installation, please confirm that the on-site hazardous area classification matches the product's explosion-proof marking. During use, regularly inspect the flameproof surfaces, fasteners, and grounding devices to ensure reliable explosion-proof performance. It is strictly prohibited to open the terminal cavity cover while energized.
