The installation location of the FBD-520 explosion-proof heat transfer oil electric heater should be convenient for maintenance, and the sealing surface at the connection between the flameproof enclosure and the pipeline must be kept clean. For vertical or horizontal installation, it should be determined according to the on-site space and the flow direction of the heat transfer oil to avoid flange deformation caused by installation stress. When the heating tube and flange are made of 304 or 316L stainless steel, it is still necessary to check whether the corrosiveness of the medium is within the material's tolerance range. After opening the electrical wiring cavity, confirm that the flameproof surface has not been bumped or damaged and that the seals are intact, then connect the power supply and interlock signals according to the wiring diagram. Before the pipeline circulation system is put into operation, it is recommended to first circulate at a low flow rate to exhaust air and prevent local dry burning.
During operation, the outlet temperature, pressure, and flow rate should be recorded regularly. This model is designed for a maximum working temperature of up to 850°C, but the actual set value needs to be adjusted according to the allowable temperature of the heat transfer oil to avoid coking caused by overheating. The fully automatic control circuit can be connected to a computer network to realize human-machine dialogue and automatic parameter adjustment, but the actuation values of the temperature sensor and pressure switch need to be calibrated monthly. If fluctuations in heating current or a decrease in insulation resistance are found, the machine should be shut down to inspect the electric heating elements. Multiple protection functions include over-temperature, flow interruption, and overload, and the alarms must not be bypassed just because the system is temporarily stable.
The heater is made of special electric heating materials, and the power load design is relatively reasonable, but after long-term operation it is still necessary to check whether there is carbon deposit or an oxide layer on the surface of the heating tube. The mechanical strength of the flameproof enclosure depends on regularly tightening the bolts, and the seals should be checked every six months for hardening or swelling. It is recommended to conduct an insulation resistance test and a flameproof surface inspection once a year, and to record the number of starts and stops of the heater. If it is used for heat exchange between two fluids with large differences in temperature, flow rate, and cleanliness, the cleaning frequency should be increased to prevent a decline in heat transfer efficiency. When replacing components, explosion-proof electric heating tubes with the same specifications as the original should be selected, and the power density must not be changed arbitrarily.
