The FBD-560 explosion-proof electric heater is designed for 380V three-phase power supply, with a rated power of 560kW, explosion-proof marking ExdⅡBT4, and protection rating IP55. The heating elements use a metal tubular structure, with the terminal chamber and heating chamber isolated and sealed; the flameproof surface parameters comply with GB 3836.2 requirements. Output voltage conversion is achieved through a contactor circuit, and the unit offers stable and reliable performance with simple operation. During design and selection, the starting current and coordination with upstream protection must be verified, and a power margin of no less than 10% is recommended.
The equipment is suitable for thermal oil, water, and neutral gas media, with a design pressure of 1.6MPa and a working temperature of ≤320℃; the inlet-outlet temperature difference is recommended to be controlled within 25℃. For reactor heating, pipeline tracing, and tank insulation applications, the required heat load must be calculated based on medium flow rate and specific heat capacity to avoid excessive surface load causing coking. If the process temperature fluctuation continuously exceeds the allowable range, it is recommended to shut down and investigate the compatibility between the heater and the control system.
The control system can be optionally equipped with PID regulation and over-temperature protection circuits; dual-element PT100 redundant configuration is recommended for temperature sensing elements. During selection, the medium flow condition must be confirmed: for static or low-flow conditions, the surface load design must be reduced to prevent local overheating. In centralized air-conditioning airflow control systems, the method of converting output voltage through a contactor circuit can simplify the control logic, but attention must be paid to the impact of contact switching frequency on service life. Typical applications include reactor heating, gas heating, and other continuous operation occasions; during installation, the heating section must be fully immersed or in a stable airflow.
