According to GB 3836.1 and GB 3836.2 standards, explosion-proof electric heaters must be used together with temperature interlock control and protection devices such as thermocouples. The FBD-750 explosion-proof electric heater (thermal oil electric heating equipment) is designed as a flameproof type and is suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 explosive gas environments, providing a heat source for thermal oil circulation systems.
The equipment consists of a flameproof terminal enclosure, an electric heating element assembly, a thermal oil flow channel, and a temperature sensor interface. Driven by a circulation pump, thermal oil flows over the surface of the heating elements, absorbs heat, and is then delivered to heat-using equipment; after releasing heat, it returns to the heater, forming a closed-loop circulation. The electric heating elements adopt a low surface load design, which helps reduce the coking tendency of thermal oil at high temperatures.
The FBD-750 is suitable for thermal oil heating systems in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and pharmaceutical, as well as for tank tracing and pipeline insulation applications requiring explosion-proof protection. On-site O&M personnel should regularly check whether the flameproof surfaces are clean and whether the fastening bolts are complete, and confirm that the temperature interlock protection device operates reliably. If carbon deposits appear on the heater surface, they should be cleaned promptly to avoid a decrease in heat transfer efficiency.
Explosion-proof marking: ExdⅡBT4 (higher temperature groups optional according to actual working conditions); rated power: 750kW; rated voltage: 380V/50Hz; working temperature: ≤320℃; temperature control mode: PID regulation, with thermocouple and temperature interlock protection; protection rating: IP65; flameproof threaded or flanged connections, with specific dimensions configurable according to on-site piping.
Before installation, verify that the heater nameplate parameters match the system design and ensure that the thermal oil flow direction is the same as the direction indicated on the heater. The heater must be fully immersed in thermal oil; dry firing is strictly prohibited. During startup, start the circulation pump first and then switch on the heating power supply after the flow rate is normal; during shutdown, cut off the heating power supply first and then stop the pump after the temperature drops to a safe range. For long-term shutdown, drain the thermal oil and take moisture-proof measures.
