During on-site commissioning, if the outlet temperature deviates from the setpoint, don't rush to adjust the heat source temperature. It is most likely due to improper flow ratio or increased fouling thermal resistance on the heat transfer surface, causing a decrease in the heat transfer coefficient. The HRS-720 hot and cold heat exchanger starts with flow channel design and material selection to help technical engineers pinpoint the problem at the parameter matching level.
The plates use a herringbone corrugation, with a single plate heat transfer area of 0.72 m² and an equivalent flow channel diameter of 4.2 mm. When the Reynolds number Re≥2500, the overall heat transfer coefficient can reach 3200 W/(m²·K) (water-water condition). Pressure drop is controlled within 45 kPa to reduce pump power consumption.
Plates are available in 304, 316L, and titanium, with gaskets in nitrile or EPDM rubber. When the medium contains chloride ions, 316L has a pitting resistance equivalent number PREN≥18, and titanium is suitable for seawater or hypochlorite conditions. Design temperature is -20℃~180℃, and design pressure is 1.6 MPa.
The inlet and outlet use DN80 flanges and support four-corner connections. The frame-type structure reserves 200 mm of plate withdrawal space, allowing plate inspection without disconnecting piping. Anchor bolt holes are arranged according to the GB/T 799 standard.
Suppliers should be required to provide factory test reports and material certificates to confirm that the heat exchanger materials, design pressure, and temperature range meet the operating conditions. The reports must include hydrostatic test records and sealing test data.
Suitable for HVAC chilled water and cooling water heat exchange, chemical process medium cooling, and waste heat recovery systems. During selection, consider the corrosiveness of the medium and the operating temperature range to avoid early failure caused by material mismatch.
