The DJR-500 ceramic electric heating ring is suitable for heating and insulation of injection molding machine and extruder barrels, featuring ceramic heating elements and a high-temperature resistant outer shell. The following key points are listed from a selection perspective for reference by technical engineers.
Before selection, measure the barrel outer diameter and the effective heating section width to determine the heating ring inner diameter × width, for example Φ120mm×60mm. The gap between the inner diameter and the barrel should be controlled at 0.5~1.5mm; too large affects heat transfer, too small makes installation difficult. Also confirm the lead wire outlet direction and terminal space to avoid interference with other equipment components.
This model supports 220V or 380V operating voltage, and power can be customized according to barrel dimensions, with a common range of 1.5kW to 4.5kW. During selection, the required power density must be calculated; generally, injection molding machine barrel heating uses 3~5W/cm². If the power supply circuit is 380V three-phase, ensure the voltage balance between three-phase lines, with an allowable deviation of ±5%. It is recommended to measure the incoming voltage with a multimeter in AC mode before energizing.
Ceramic electric heating rings are usually used with thermocouples or thermal resistors for temperature measurement. During selection, the type and installation position of the temperature measuring element must be specified. The insulation resistance should not be lower than the specified value; cold insulation resistance is usually ≥5MΩ. For explosion-proof applications, products with the corresponding protection rating should be selected, and the upper limit of working temperature must be confirmed.
Choose the shell material according to the workshop environment; common options are stainless steel or galvanized sheet. Humid or corrosive environments require enhanced insulation treatment. If the barrel needs frequent disassembly and assembly, it is recommended to use lead wires with quick-connect plugs for easy maintenance.
