In heating retrofit projects for plastic injection molding machine barrels, procurement personnel often face a practical problem: the surface temperature of existing heating rings is too high, the workshop ambient temperature rises noticeably, and electricity costs remain high. After on-site temperature measurement and energy consumption comparison, the problems are mostly concentrated in unreasonable insulation structures of heating rings and uncontrolled heat loss paths. The DJR-780 ceramic electric heating ring is designed for such scenarios, starting from the insulation structure and heating element layout to improve heat utilization efficiency.
This model adopts a combined structure of a ceramic heating element and a stainless steel outer shell, with high-density insulation material filled inside. The outer shell surface temperature can be controlled within 60°C under continuous operation (tested at an ambient temperature of 25°C). Compared with traditional heating rings without insulation layers, surface heat loss is significantly reduced. Rated voltage 220V/380V is optional, and the power density calculated by heating surface can reach 3.5W/cm², suitable for the heating sections of injection molding machines and extruders with barrel diameters of 80mm to 200mm. Insulation resistance is not less than 100MΩ, and electrical strength withstands 1500V/min without breakdown, meeting general industrial electrical safety requirements.
The ceramic heating element allows a long-term working temperature of up to 450°C and short-term tolerance of up to 500°C. When selecting for procurement, note that the temperature resistance of the heating ring should be at least 30°C to 50°C higher than the maximum process set temperature to leave margin for temperature control fluctuations. For example, if the barrel process temperature is set to 280°C, it is recommended to choose a specification with a temperature resistance of 350°C or above. The DJR-780 offers multiple power configurations, and integral or sectional structures can be selected according to the barrel section length and heating requirements, facilitating local heating or zoned temperature control.
During installation, ensure that the inner wall of the heating ring fits tightly against the barrel surface; excessive clearance will reduce heat transfer efficiency. Wiring terminals should be equipped with protective covers to prevent materials or dust from falling in. When used in vacuum or specific atmosphere environments, the working conditions should be stated in advance so that the packaging method can be adjusted. Regular inspection of fasteners and insulation status during routine maintenance can extend the service life.
This model is suitable for the barrel heating sections of plastic processing equipment such as injection molding machines, extruders, and film blowing machines. It can also be used for pipeline heat tracing, mold preheating, and other occasions requiring a stable heat source and control of surface temperature. For procurement personnel, the key focus should be on the matching of power density with barrel dimensions, the margin between temperature resistance and process temperature, and the long-term energy consumption differences brought by the insulation structure.
