The nameplate of the BRF-60 plate-frame fin heat exchanger clearly indicates a design pressure of 1.6 MPa, a design temperature of 200°C, the heat transfer area, and the medium flow direction, making it convenient to compare operating parameters during routine inspections and prevent overpressure and overtemperature. Compared with shell-and-tube heat exchangers, the plate-frame fin structure can provide a larger effective heat transfer area under the same pressure drop, making it suitable for retrofit and replacement in medium-low pressure and medium-temperature working conditions.
This heat exchanger consists of plates, fins, and a frame. Narrow flow channels are formed between the plates, and the fins extend the secondary heat transfer surface. Compared with traditional plate heat exchangers, the fin structure enhances turbulence, and the heat transfer coefficient is improved under the same flow rate; compared with shell-and-tube types, it is more compact, occupies less space, and is easier to replace and install within existing equipment. Seals are selected according to medium characteristics, and disassembly and cleaning are relatively convenient.
It is suitable for medium-temperature heat exchange links in HVAC, district heating, and chemical processes. During selection, the actual heat transfer area should be calculated based on medium flow rate, allowable pressure drop, and fouling factor. If used in retrofit projects, the original pipeline interfaces and support structures should be rechecked to ensure installation compatibility.
