In HVAC water systems or hydraulic oil cooling circuits, whether the plate-frame fin-type heat exchanger is properly selected directly affects the heat exchange stability of the system between high summer loads and low winter loads. Before determining the model, design and selection personnel need to incorporate medium characteristics, heat load, allowable pressure drop, and installation space into the calculation, rather than merely matching interface diameters.
During selection, first calculate the heat load according to design conditions, then determine the required heat exchange area based on the inlet and outlet temperature differences of the hot and cold media, and reserve a heat exchange margin of 10% to 20%. The heat exchange area and plate combination method of the BRF-95 plate-frame fin-type heat exchanger can be adjusted according to operating conditions. The nameplate indicates a design pressure of 1.6 MPa, a design temperature of 200°C, and the medium flow direction, making it convenient for designers to check against them and avoid long-term overpressure and overtemperature operation. When the medium is clean water, ethylene glycol solution, or hydraulic oil, the influence of viscosity on the heat transfer coefficient should be checked separately.
The plate-frame fin-type structure supports multi-pass combinations, and counterflow arrangement of hot and cold media can achieve a more uniform temperature difference distribution. Selection personnel need to calculate the allowable pressure drops on both sides separately and confirm that the nozzle diameters match the system piping. For oil media with higher viscosity, the flow velocity should be appropriately reduced or the number of passes increased to control the pressure drop within the allowable range. The medium flow direction should be marked on the drawings to facilitate on-site installation according to the markings.
This model can be used in HVAC water systems, hydraulic oil cooling, chemical medium waste heat recovery, and other scenarios. During selection, it is also necessary to confirm the maintenance space at the installation location, the orientation of connections, and the foundation load-bearing capacity, and to reserve operating distance for disassembling and assembling plates. Daily inspections should focus on recording inlet and outlet temperature, pressure, and flow parameters, comparing them with design values, and promptly investigating any deviations.
