The design of the BXS-70 brazed stainless steel heat exchanger refers to the relevant requirements of GB/T 151 and NB/T 47004. The plates are vacuum brazed, and the heat exchange area of a single unit covers 0.5–12 m². During on-site selection, the required area can be calculated based on the inlet and outlet temperature difference and flow rate on the hot side, avoiding direct replacement according to old drawings. Compared with a detachable plate heat exchanger, this structure has no gaskets, so under vibrating conditions there is no inspection item for gasket aging and leakage; compared with a shell-and-tube exchanger, under the same heat exchange capacity, the liquid charge volume is about one third of the former, making it suitable for skid-mounted systems with limited space.
A Y-type strainer is recommended on the water side, and the filtration accuracy on the oil side should be no less than 100 μm to prevent particles from depositing in the narrow flow channels. During installation, reserve at least 300 mm of maintenance space to facilitate observation of connections and temperature measurement points. When the medium contains chloride ions, the combination of concentration and temperature must be calculated to prevent pitting corrosion.
In food industry heating table applications, the stainless steel surface is easy to clean, but long-term contact with strongly acidic cleaning agents should be avoided to prevent affecting the surface condition. This model can be selected for oil cooling circuits in mechanical manufacturing and textile equipment, and the compact flow channels help reduce the system oil charge.
During operation, it is recommended to record the inlet and outlet pressure difference. When the pressure difference rises to 1.5 times the initial value, cleaning should be arranged, mainly by circulating a neutral cleaning agent.
