Advantages of Electric Heating Thermal Oil Furnace Technology Compared to Steam Heating

As is well known, in industries such as chemical, plastics, rubber, textile, and food processing, a stable high-temperature heat source is required for heating processes. Currently, in China's industrial production and scientific research, steam heating is predominantly used as the heating method. Steam, as a heat transfer medium, has advantages such as high latent heat and rapid heat exchange. However, there are serious energy waste phenomena during the generation, transmission, and heat exchange processes of steam. The analysis mainly includes the following situations.

A.Loss during condensation process.

a.Part of the steam, along with condensate, carries a large amount of heat energy that is lost during discharge.

b.The recovery rate of condensate is low; according to relevant data, China's current recovery rate is about30% (developed countries have over80%). The heat contained in condensate accounts for25% of the total steam heat, so the heat loss from unrecovered condensate accounts for about17% of the total steam heat.

B.Steam boilers require frequent or periodic blowdown, and about2% of the heat is discharged and cannot be recovered.

C.Due to the high pressure of steam heating, long pipelines, many valve joints, high sealing requirements, and difficult maintenance, leaks, drips, and seepage inevitably occur, also causing heat loss.

Organic carrier heating technology is a systematic new technology that uses organic fluids as heat transfer media to complete the conversion, transfer, application, and control of thermal energy, thereby achieving optimal heating process conditions. It is also a new technology for thermal energy conversion. This technology has only a development history of sixty years in China. China began to introduce and apply it in the 1970s.

Organic carrier heating technology is applicable to any heating equipment and occasion in industrial production and scientific research heating processes. The traditional steam heating method, which has been used for a long time and is widely applied, will gradually be replaced by organic carrier heating technology.
