A radiant tube heater is a heater used in chemical heat treatment fuel furnaces to isolate the combustion gases from the working chamber. Radiant tubes typically use gaseous fuel and are made of heat-resistant steel, either cast or welded. The shapes of radiant tubes vary widely, including U-shaped, W-shaped, trident-shaped, etc.; the most commonly used radiant tube is the U-shaped type, with a fuel nozzle installed at one end and an ejector at the other to draw out the combustion products.
Radiant tubes are made of heavy-duty low-carbon steel pipes, typically with a diameter of 75-100mm and a length of 6-11m. For ease of installation and operation, individual radiant tubes are often formed into U-shapes or straight tubes. The burner combusts inside one end of the tube, and the flue gas exits from the other end. When used in public buildings, the flue gas must be exhausted outdoors via a fan, and combustion air can be supplied by a blower or drawn in by an induced draft fan.
The differences between this heater and heat treatment radiant tubes are:
(1) The surface temperature is lower, not exceeding 550°C at most, generally in the range of 150-450°C, with high thermal efficiency, not less than 90%.
(2) The radiant tube is made of ordinary low-carbon steel pipe, which is economical and practical, facilitating promotion and application across various industries.
(3) The radiant tube is easy to install, with length not limited by equipment, and can be used in series or parallel, thus covering a large heating area.
(4) Equipped with complete combustion safety and control systems.
