DARUI Electric recommends for you
A thermal oil heating tube is a device that converts electrical energy into heat energy to heat the material to be heated. During operation, the low-temperature fluid medium enters its input port through the pipeline under pressure, taking away the high-temperature heat energy generated by the electric heating element during operation, causing the temperature of the heated medium to rise. Along the specific heat exchange flow path inside the electric heating container, when the heating element overheats, the independent overheat protection device of the heating element immediately cuts off the heating power supply. Using the path designed based on fluid thermodynamics principles, the outlet of the electric heater obtains the high-temperature medium required by the process. The internal control system of the electric heater automatically adjusts the output power of the electric heater based on the temperature sensor signal at the outlet, making the medium temperature at the outlet uniform, avoiding overheating of the heated material causing coking, deterioration, carbonization, and in severe cases, burning out the heating element, effectively extending the service life of the electric heating tube.
Selection Suggestions
1. Choose a good quality thermal oil.
2. The surface load of the electric heating tube of the thermal oil heater must meet the relevant requirements. Recommended values for heating tube surface load:
The following surface loads generally refer to heating with metal molds; for water heating, it can be multiplied by 2 to 2.5. For air heating, it is 50% to 60%.
Tube Diameter (φ) | Load Value (W/cm) |
φ6~φ10 | ≤22 |
φ10.1 ~φ14 | ≤20 |
φ14.1~φ18 | ≤16 |
φ18.1~φ22 | ≤12 |
φ22.1~φ40 | ≤10 |
3. The flow rate of the pump should be selected as large as possible. A faster flow rate can reduce the possibility of local overheating of the thermal oil.
4. When the thermal oil heater stops working, the temperature should be lowered to normal temperature first to avoid stopping at high temperature. Because at the moment of stopping during high-temperature operation, the surface of the heating tube is still at a high temperature. At this time, the thermal oil inside the heating tube stops flowing, which can cause the local temperature of the thermal oil on the surface of the electric heating tube to be too high, forming carbon deposits.
