P=1500 watts (power) U=220 volts (voltage) Find: I (current)
I=P/U=1500/220≈6.82 amps

B. Common tests and inspections for casing single-head electric heating tubes
1. Resistance inspection, cold-state withstand voltage inspection, cold-state insulation inspection.
2. Power inspection, hot-state insulation inspection, hot-state withstand voltage inspection, leakage current inspection.
3. Damp heat test, salt spray test, life test, and other mechanical tests.
C. Performance requirements for casing single-head electric heating tubes
1. Heating-up time: Under the test voltage, the time for the element to rise from ambient temperature to test temperature should not exceed 15 minutes. 2. Rated power deviation: Under conditions of sufficient heating, the deviation of the element's rated power should not exceed the specified range;
2. Ability to withstand on-off cycles: The element should be able to undergo 2000 on-off tests under specified test conditions without damage.
3. Overload capacity: The element should withstand 30 cycles of overload tests under specified test conditions and input power without damage.
4. Heat resistance: The element should withstand 1000 cycles of heat resistance tests under specified test conditions and test voltage without damage.
D. Precautions for using casing single-head electric heating tubes
1. The element should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1 megohm due to long-term storage, it can be dried in an oven at about 200°C for several hours (or pass low voltage through the element for several hours) to restore the insulation resistance.
2. If carbon deposits are found on the tube surface, they must be completely removed before use to avoid reducing efficiency or even burning out the element.
3. When melting solid oils such as asphalt and paraffin, the voltage should be reduced, and then raised to the rated voltage after melting, to prevent concentration of electricity and reduce the service life of the element.
