The JY-380/6 tubular electric heater is selected according to engineering parameters. The following key points are provided for designers' reference.
Rated voltage 380V, single-tube power 6kW; 220V or other voltage levels can also be customized according to power supply conditions. Heat generation follows Joule's law: when voltage drops to 1/2 of the rated value, heat generation drops to 1/4; when current drops to 1/2, heat generation likewise drops to 1/4. During selection, the correspondence between actual working voltage and power must be calculated to avoid insufficient power or overload caused by voltage deviation.
Surface load is available in multiple specifications and must be selected according to the physical properties of the heated medium (heat transfer oil, water, air, etc.). A reasonable surface load can reduce the risk of oil carbonization and scorching, reduce scale formation, and extend the service life of the medium and the heating tube. During design, the surface load range should be determined in combination with the allowable film temperature and flow velocity of the medium.
According to the outlet method, it is divided into single-head electric heating tubes and double-head electric heating tubes, and the terminal box form can be selected accordingly. Dimensions A and B (installation length and heating section length) can be customized according to equipment space, with a conventional range starting from 120mm; specifics are subject to drawing confirmation. Immersion installation must ensure that the heating section is fully immersed in the medium to avoid dry burning.
Heating power can be estimated as C×M×ΔT=P×T, where C is the specific heat capacity of the medium, M is the total mass, ΔT is the temperature rise, P is the power, and T is the time. This formula is used for preliminary calculation; actual selection must consider heat loss and safety factors.
Suitable for industrial occasions such as heat transfer oil furnaces, water tanks, and flowing or static air heating, as well as containers and piping systems requiring tubular structure immersion heating. For corrosive media, pipe materials and surface treatment must be selected separately.
