In plastic pelletizing workshops, it is common for heating coils to heat up slowly, overheat locally, or burn out frequently after replacement. Investigation reveals that most problems are not due to quality defects in the heating coils themselves, but rather to installation dimensions that do not match the original equipment. For 220V pelletizer heaters, procurement personnel need to focus on verifying the following key points.

Key Point 1: Matching of inner diameter with barrel outer diameter. The inner diameter of the heating coil must be exactly the same as the original heating coil or barrel dimensions. Excessive clearance will reduce heat conduction efficiency and prolong heating time; insufficient clearance will make installation difficult and may even compress the internal resistance wire. It is recommended to measure the barrel outer diameter and allow reasonable tolerance.

Key Point 2: Correspondence between width and heating section length. The width of the heating coil affects heating power density and axial temperature distribution. The screw zone of a pelletizer is usually divided into multiple heating sections, each with a different width. During procurement, it is necessary to confirm the width and installation position of the original heating coil to avoid insufficient coverage or exceeding the effective heating zone of the barrel.

Key Point 3: Lead wire position and wiring space. Under 220V power supply, the lead wire direction, length, and outlet position must match the equipment junction box. If the lead wire is too long, it may interfere with moving parts; if too short, it cannot be connected. Also note that the temperature resistance grade of the lead wire insulation should not be lower than the operating temperature of the heating coil.

This model is suitable for operating temperatures from 150℃ to 450℃, covering common working conditions such as injection molding machine barrels, extruder screw zones, and pelletizer heating sections. In scenarios such as pelletizing and wire drawing, attention should also be paid to the surface load and cooling conditions of the heating coil. Procurement personnel can verify item by item based on the original equipment parameters to ensure the temperature control loop remains stable after installing the replacement part.
