Explosion-proof Electric Heater

An explosion-proof electric heater is a device that consumes electrical energy and converts it into thermal energy to heat the materials that need to be heated. During operation, the low-temperature fluid medium enters its input port under pressure through a pipeline, flows along the specific heat exchange channels inside the electric heating container, which are designed based on the principles of fluid thermodynamics, and carries away the high-temperature thermal energy generated by the electric heating elements during work, thereby raising the temperature of the heated medium. At the outlet of the electric heater, a high-temperature medium that meets the process requirements is obtained. The internal control system of the electric heater automatically adjusts the output power of the electric heater based on the temperature sensor signal at the outlet, ensuring a uniform temperature of the medium at the outlet. When the heating element overheats, the independent overheat protection device of the heating element immediately cuts off the heating power supply, preventing the heated material from overheating and causing coking, deterioration, or carbonization, which in severe cases could burn out the heating element, effectively extending the service life of the electric heater.

Explosion-proof heaters are generally used in hazardous places where explosions may occur. Due to the presence of flammable and explosive oils, gases, dust, etc., in the surrounding environment, contact with electric sparks can cause explosions. Therefore, in such places, explosion-proof heaters are required for heating. The main explosion-proof measure of an explosion-proof heater is the installation of a flameproof device inside the junction box of the heater, which eliminates the hidden danger of electric sparks causing explosions. For different heating applications, the explosion-proof level requirements for heaters also vary, depending on the specific situation.

Typical applications of explosion-proof electric heaters mainly include:

1. Heating and raising the temperature of chemical materials in the chemical industry, drying some powders under certain pressure, chemical processes, and spray drying.

2. Heating hydrocarbons, including crude oil, heavy oil, fuel oil, heat transfer oil, lubricating oil, paraffin, etc.

3. Heating process water, superheated steam, molten salt, nitrogen (air) gas, water gas, and other fluids that need to be heated and raised in temperature.

4. Due to the adoption of advanced explosion-proof structures, the equipment can be widely used in chemical, military, petroleum, natural gas, offshore platforms, ships, mining areas, and other places requiring explosion-proof measures. Application examples:
